Beautiful November walk around a quiet, clear lake. The road down to park at the trailhead was super muddy and needs gravel but once there it was worth it.

great easy hike. no incline. dirt road. well maintained. pretty secluded so does have an eery feeling unless you like being alone. i went with 2 dogs and my family and still felt a little weird. however still a great hike for new hikers and kids. dogs did love it, especially the water.

Great, easy hike along a wide, level, and well developed path. It loops around the lake and can take as short as an hour depending on how often you to stop to swim. There are lots of places to get in the water. The water is clear and calm, and a surprisingly perfect temperature for swimming!
$5 parking fee at the trailhead.

the "trail" is more like a dirt road. it's used by the ranger to help people camping haul their gear to their site. it's well maintained and clean. the lake will always be right beside you and there's areas where you can jump in for a quick swim. if you're into finding wildlife you'll want to take it slow. we were able to spot all kinds of insects and saw 3 turtles basking on a log in the lake close to the bank. the trail is flat all the way around. great hike for young children and even older hikers. pro tip: there's clearly marked numbers on each camp site, if you are thinking of camping keep in mind to look at the numbers of each site so you have have an idea of which one you'd like to reserve :)

Fun easy trail. Nie camping spots though we were only there to hike with the dogs. Short loop around the lake so we made two. The drive...especially last 5 miles on gravel is slow-going and dusty but worth it.

Nice sunny day for an easy hike on November 30, 2013. There was a few logs to cross the creek, but we took our time to make sure we didn't slip on the moss. It was amazing at the reflections in both of the lakes. After walking by the camp sites, I think I will want to return in the summer even though you pack your stuff in.

Nice easy trail, you do have to watch out for poison oak if going off the trail. There are about 3 rope swings located in different places around the lake. Will have to go back and do some camping next time.
