This is a fairly easy hike with good views of old growth forest. The path shown in AllTrails is a little misleading. The loop is via Trail 214 and extends to the Smith Creek Trail, Old Maple Trail/Cut Off Trail, and Howard Creek Trail. There are many different loops you can make along the Smith Creek Trail, so pick the one you’re most comfortable with. The only difficult part was returning East to West along the northern prt of Trail 214, where there is a hill that will require a prodigious amount of effort to get to the top. The trail is of good quality and had few people on it, allowing for some solitude. Overall the trail is fun and makes for a good day-hike.
