Silver Falls Loop is a 7 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Silverton, Oregon that features a cave and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.
Directions to the park: From Exit 253 off I-5 drive east on Highway 22 which runs from Bend to the Coast. Go east from Salem a few miles and take the Exit 7 offramp. At the stop sign turn left and go under Highway 22, then follow the signs to the park.
this is an AMAZING hike, you can't beat the views with all of the waterfalls! It's a great place to bring the kids or anyone who wants to see some Oregon beauty!
If you are taking your dogs.... Forget it. Beautiful trail but dogs are NOT!! allowed on the lower trail. Very disappointing.
Love this place! My family has been many times.
A favorite of mine. Well traveled, go on a week day if you have the option. My preference is to start at south falls and make your way up. It's easy that way, mostly downhill. And there's a couple forks in the road to make your hike 2 miles, 5 miles, of the full 7 mile loop. If the lodge or shop is open, they have maps of the trails.
Least favorite season to go is summer - just a bit dry and waterfalls aren't as epic.
