Nice hike or bike ride around the rim of this Bend area park. Shevlin Park is a haven located less than three miles from Bend and a perfect location for hiking, jogging, fishing, cross country skiing, and picnicking. There is an extensive trail and pathway system providing for both summer and winter uses. The trail around the canyon rim is perfect for mountain biking, or a nature walk. You will travel through aspen and ponderosa pine. Views of Tumalo Creek in the canyon below.

Pretty dull trail. Not to say it isn’t beautiful, it’s just that there are way better hikes with less people in the area. This would be a great hike for a young family with a running baby stroller. Lots of people and smooth paths

Great trail run! The ground was frozen and had bike ruts so some parts I had to take slow so I wouldn’t roll an ankle but other than that it was a great run without too many hills!

This gorgeous little trail was the perfect length. It's a little hard to find when you get to the park, but once you're on it, there are clear signs at all the trail intersections.

Lots of charred areas. Nice views when you get up higher. I took the Tumalo creek trail at the halfway (back)

I ran this trail the other day and it felt like I was running in my back yard because it's so so close into town and a great mileage and if need be, you do it twice! I loved the scenery and wasn't too terribly crowded!

Would be good for a nice afternoon bike ride or walk with family, but if you're looking for over the top views and a big climax like some have then this isn't the hike for you . Good warm up trail

We love this park. There is a little bit of something for everyone. In the summer time, maybe stay away for foot traffic is REAL!

The Shevlin Park trail is located near Bend, OR. The trail itself is somewhat maintained and provides a running or hiking trail for the nearby developments in Bend. If you are looking for good views dont go on this trail for that. It only provides views of the nearby river, but is a very bland trail. I would recommend this trail to anyone looking for a fairly long hike, or stroll in the main park.

A really beautiful State Park close to town, with all different activities. I've seen people mountain biking, trail running, fishing, etc. There are trails all over for all different skill levels. Freemont Meadow is very cool. The river runs through it. Lots of visitors.

The loop trail also connects to other trails that head out into the Tumalo Watershed.
