Absolutely beautiful hike through an old growth fire scared Hemlock forest. Amazing diversity of wildflowers and songbird species. Plus the view at the top is absolutely breathtaking. A couple very steep sections, but for the most part they have well constructed switchbacks. Very easy to find along the forest roads, paved all the way out there. Only thing for hikers to note, when you are at the trail-head right across the street from the parking lot area, take the trail to the right NOT THE LEFT. When we were there, someone had hung pink flagging and written the word "trail" on it going to the left. They must have been talking to someone else because that trail went .6 miles and then dead ended at a road. We found the "right" trail though, and just turned the day in to a 9 mile hike. Absolutely beautiful hike that I would definitely recommend!
