There are north and south parts of this trail or there are two Salmon Creek trails. If start from Greenwaters park in Oakridge to follow one part, then cross the bridge near Salmon Falls to follow the other part to make a loop, it will be about 10 mi.
The south part in general is wilder (we saw a bear scratched tree) and trashier (some bridges are unreliable, proceed on your own risk) but can also seem more interesting.

Great trail for beginners! A LOT of beautiful Oregon and JUST outside Oakridge where simple albeit a little pricey eats and drinks can be found. on your way out of this trail, make sure to stop at the Public House!
Anyway, I recently hiked this trail and found a good number of hedgehog mushrooms! delish!

Hiked part of the trail today. wasn't properly attired so unable to do the entire thing. What I was able to do was lots of fun. I usually home by myself and enjoy the peacefulness of being out in nature.

Bridge is out right at the beginning. Trail marker has it as "Rigdon Bike Trail". would suggest Aubrey Mtn Loop across the river instead, which is also a poorly marked trail head.
