Beautiful views. Can't wait to come back when the wildflowers are in bloom.

The upper trail is ok. On a clear day it is possible to see Hood and Adams. The lower trail is just a short walk but the ponds have croaking frogs that are nice to listen to.

Looks great, but no dogs allowed. Only 3 stars because of that.

we loved the views. September was very brown and dry and would love to go in the spring. Easy walking. Deserted on a Saturday afternoon. Saw hawks, vultures, blue jays, crows.

A very easy, relaxing trail with breathtaking views. The lush green ponds seem magical, especially this time of the year when the entire trail is mostly surrounded by dry grasses.

This out and back hike is not to long and does not provide anything for those looking for an intense physical challenge, but it is not to be missed. The trail takes you out across the Rowena Plateau, which stretches out along the Columbia River and provides amazing views up and down the gorge. Much of the plateau is covered in meadow, filled with flowers during the spring. Between the landscape of the plateau and the moss covered rocks, I felt I was back in Ireland on a hike, until I would look up and seeing the stunning River Gorge and I knew this was a wholly unique place.

Absolutely stunning wildflowers in late May with sweeping views of the Columbia River Gorge. One of my favorite hikes in the area.
