This is my favorite Peavy Arboretum hike. Last went up this two months ago but wanted to review it as I have gone up this several times in the last year. It is just long enough to be some what challenging but short enough to be convenient. Great hiking choice during winter and fall as it never seems to be raining as much as it does in the valley. The lake is a nice view spot and the views to the west near the top is good but the single track wilderness trails are the best part. I highly recommend you follow the Powder House trail instead of the logging roads to keep it scenic and woodsy.
