Went on this hike with our kids today as part of our RV trip to the Redwoods. Saw a banana slug
Almost right away which was cool. Perfect length of hike for younger kids, not very steep. It felt otherworldly. Redwoods are so amazing to see. The whole area was so dense and green. Really enjoyable hike.

Easy trail, mostly shaded, towering trees, moss-laden branches, and banana slugs! Great for kids, dogs, and everyone else. Awesome little trail for those making their way up the Oregon coast and just want to stop and stretch and enjoy the beauty of these magnificent trees.

Fun, easy trail! Well maintained and lots to view. If you want to know what each of the 15 markers are marking, be sure to print the natural trail pamphlet before you go - they are not at the trailhead. Also, look up if it's windy. We had a few branches come down on the trail.

Been going on this trail since I was a kid. Great forest views of newer baby redwoods, beautiful creek running through nearby. I recommend starting on Riverview Trail in Loeb Park which will spit out right across the street from this trail. It adds a little more mileage and some sweet riverviews.

I do this trail a lot with my dog. Some days there is no one there and it's usually in good shape. If you cross the street it connects with the Loeb Park Trail and I normally do both...

Beautiful area, very poor signage. The trail splits at a bench shortly after starting the National Forest loop (you can park and start at the mouth of this loop or begin with the state park river trail about 3/4 of a mile away) either way will work but it appears the intent was to have you start to the left leaving the best to the end.

Great trail to see the Redwoods!!! Park at the campground and river access area. Then walk the River trail to the Redwood trail. Makes for a nice hike. Took me a lot longer the first day because I had to keep stopping for photo ops!!!

Great hike through the Northern most redwoods in Oregon. This trail has the largest redwood in Oregon.
