Flat, wide and well maintained trail through a heavily manicured park. Not my favorite type of trail, but it is good for being in the middle of the city.

The soft mulch trail was very pleasant bonus to an enjoyable walk around Day Island.

Lovely running or walking trail. Like being on a track but more scenic. Nice bird watching

WalkingGreat!

Lots of dusty bark, so I would recommend good socks and shoes. Flat and easy to walk, though very hot in some sections. Had to follow the map and turn my location services on because it wasn't always obvious which way to go.

Very nice. Very few people especially for a Saturday. The cushion of the mulch was much appreciated by my knee replacement.

Very flat, so great for people looking for more of a walk or run also very bike friendly so be careful with on the running and walking path(non pathed) all togther a great place for light hiking/cardio and there seemed to be great spots for canoeing and kayaking along the way. Also take the time to read the trail signs to learn about the indigenous tribe that lived on the land there there are talking rocks that teach you their mother tongue and it was very educational and eye opening.

Running

Great for pups! Trails stretches from Eugene to Springfield. Paved terrain as well as trails. Close to Autzen dog park (park there) then head out. Follows the river trails for pups to get a quick drink. Full sun and shaded areas.

HikingNo shade

Pre's Trail is best for trail running/jogging. My son and I walked the path a few mo ths back counterclockwise. Much of the trail is paved or a well maintained dirt/bark path but with little shade. Following the canal and the pond was nice, but other than that, there wasn't much tot he views of nature. You can hear the freeway for much of the trip, it's a very busy and popular running trail. Not many locations for drinking water(would be a great addition).

Really pretty for a noon walk, but I kept coming upon homeless shelters under the shady trees. Wouldn't do it again alone.
