Nice little trail with some good viewpoints of the ocean and some local history to boot. The trail goes right and ends and the middle portion is concrete and near the end of that you can take a left and it goes back to the museum which is open seasonally. Easy enough for almost anyone to do with well placed guard rails to make it safer for children. It's best to not use King St. What looks like it use to be the trail is signed no trespassing. King ends in a culdesac and it looks like the neighbors don't wish to be bothered... If you stay on Port Orford highway it ends at the museum and the trail starts there.

Saw a few grey whales right at the head. Not a long hike at all, but some uphill parts on the loop.

This is a wonderful trail with many scenic views and benches along the way to stop and rest. Start with the Headland trail to make the loop. This will save you having to hike back up this part of the trail and it is easier to hike down than up.

Decent hike through nice forest with good views of the coastal bluffs. It's only a few minutes off Highway 101 and makes a great pit stop to stretch your legs.

Super windy. expect it. Lots of nice benches to take a pause and view the scenery. take along the 300mm lens for excellent landscape shots. Dogs allowed on leashes and they provide poop bags. fun museum area. I will come again.

beautiful! I live 3/4 of a mile from here! I like the trail next to the one you guys suggest/post! It's not a long hike, and the view is spectacular! moderate to difficult hike. I went off grid a bit, and if you do, be careful! There is history here and a secluded trail which I hope to post later (it goes down to where the coast guard used to dock there boats!

Amazing views. Easy hike for me and hubby with 30lbs of toddler on our backs. Not too steep and all drop offs were fenced nicely. Nice museum and history at the trailhead closed Monday and Tuesday's.
