Some technical rock gardens, and a good steady climb to the Ridge. Maximum beauty. FS bikes recommended, but my 25-year-old Trek 7000 did just fine!

Fun trail. Helped to have the map downloaded to navigate all the intersections. Some people had a paper map which would be very helpful. Ended up going too far adding an extra mile. You cross a stream twice, a welcome cool down.

This area has miles of trails to ride or hike. Some are family friendly and some are technical. The views of the Cascade Mountain Range are stunning and other trails look out towards Smith Rock. There are picnic tables or ride or hike into town to the 2 fantastic bike shops. One has food carts and brews.

It was a Nice beautiful day for a walk. We thought for the most part it was a great path but signage was just a little poor.

The PRT is premiere mountain biking and hiking trail system that runs south from the scenic town of Sisters, Oregon, and now includes over 20 miles of single track trail. The mail trailhead is right in town with free parking available at the Village Green Park. There are also trailheads at FivePine resort and at an unimproved parking area approximately 5.1 miles south of town on FS Road 16. It designed as a "ladder" system with "rungs" offering many different loop options that are mostly easy to moderate, with a few more difficult (and fun) lava rocks patches. The routes are nicely forested and well laid out to make use of rock outcroppings, interesting trees, and scenic viewpoints. Elevation increases towards the south, allowing for fast downhill runs back to town. The scenic piece de resistance is the south west section where the trails follows closely along Peterson Ridge that provides stunning views of the Three Sisters Mountains to the west. Free maps are available at the main trailheads and information and rental bikes at either of the two excellent bike shops in town. The PRT was built and is maintained by the all-volunteer Sisters Trails Alliance (STA). http://www.sisterstrails.com/
