Peak View is a 3.4 mile out and back trail located near Sisters, Oregon and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and snowshoeing.
great hike. beautiful (though burnt) forest frolick. good snow pack. friendly hikers. magical views.
Lovely trail, there was a small portion with mostly bare ground but otherwise the snowshoes were good though it was relatively packed on the trail so could have been done with good winter boots. Not a super clear day but still had some nice views and wasn't too crowded
Nice trail, planned on snowshoeing but ended up not using the snowshoes as there wasn't that much snow.
This trail is SO underrated and has amazing views!! I’m almost upset I didn’t know about this trail earlier. I went in show shoes which seemed excessive in the beginning of the trail but were much appreciated towards the end, especially while going down hill. The hike can definitely be done in hiking boots with microspikes. The trail has an option to make it longer (4 more miles to three creeks once you reach the end) that I’ll be taking advantage of at a later time! SO worth it!
This is the trail that was recently created by the forest service connecting the Upper Three Creek Snow park with the Jeff shelter. It’s designated only for snow shoeing. It’s a beautiful trail with great views of the three sisters, broken top and more! As of April 12, 2019, there are a few small sections at the beginning where snow has completely melted but you can easily go around the melted section or just go through.
