We will go back and try again after the trail is cleared. We only went about .3 miles and already several large trees down and washouts, so we turned back and did the lower part of Trestle creek again, which is a very nice trail, already cleared pretty well.

A lot of new trees that have blown down will make it pretty strenuous to get around and over them. But it is doable

The trail is beautiful, with views of Brice Creek most of the way. However, it hasn’t been cleared from last year’s storms yet. MANY huge trees down over the trail, and the trail is washed out in a couple of places. There are signs posted that the trail is dangerous, but we were hoping the signs were out of date (since Trestle Creek was just cleared a few weeks ago, we were hoping this would be clear, too). We never made it to the falls. We made it 0.7 miles and turned back. The hike was interesting and we enjoyed the challenge, but at 0.7 miles we still hadn’t found the falls and the trail ahead was full of more downed trees. (Trail sign says the falls are 0.5 miles, but All Trails users report its more like 0.8, so we probably JUST missed seeing the lower falls.)

The trail today was of decent quality but there were roughly 4-6 downed trees blocking the trail. Most can be navigated around but not easily. Wouldn't recommend young children. Large diversity of Fungi growth. The falls were nice though the upper falls trail lead to the creak above lower falls yet no waterfall was there.

Tried this today and I would consider it borderline dangerous. With it being wet and having to crawl over a large amount of logs in the first 10 minutes we turned around. It is beautiful though.

Due to February storms lots of trees down over trail currently. Likely fine for able adult hikers but I went with my big old dog and 6 year old and was unable to hike it with them.

Hidden gem. There was no one there for the 2+ hours I was there and it was incredibly relaxing. Not a difficult hike at all.

Totally underrated little gem in the Umpqua. A few miles past the trailhead for Trestle Creek Falls but before the turn off for Bohemia Mt and Fairview Peak Lookout. Great little add-on hike. The lower falls, only a half mile in, is by far the best part. The upper Falls is neat, but could easily be skipped if you’re doing this as an add on hike.
