Start from the Happy Camp trailer park.

We deviated from the beach and climbed to the top of highest dune between Oceanside and Netarts.

it's a beautiful beach just north of Netarts. part of the walking "trail" area cuts thru a cave. Although we weren't looking at the time, I'm told this is a good agate hunting beach too! We'll definitely go back.

watch out for high tide, nice trail through a tunnel but can be dangerous if the tide is coming in

This is our favorite beach and typically our home base for our Oregon trips. Not too busy, but close enough to lots of other activities as well. So beautiful! Lots of VRBOs in the area. Enjoy the peace and quiet.

One of the best kept secrets on the Oregon Coast because it is a ways off of Highway 101. Amazing with a "Goonies" tunnel kids will love walking through to get to an even more secluded beach.

Loved visiting the ocean at this location, we went around 9am after a nice breakfast in Oceanside and there was hardly anyone else around. We went through the tunnel to the other beach and it was just as beautiful. I told my husband as we' passed through the tunnel it felt like we were looking for One-eyed Willie's treasure.

Easy hike along the beach and through a man-made tunnel to Agate Beach. During lower tides, you can climb on rocks, explore caves, etc. BTW, there's a better trail called "Short Beach Trail" or "Stairway of a Thousand Steps" to some the leads to a secret beach with a kind-of waterfall. It's off the beaten path, and I highly recommend it. To find it, just look north of town for where Radar Rd. meets the main rd. Park there, and you'll see a sign for Short Beach.

Awesome beach that wasn't crowded at all. The scenery was unbelievable and the town of Oceanside is super cool. Didn't go over to Agate Beach, but had a blast visiting the ocean!

The trail starts at the Oceanside public beach parking lot on the beach, and heads north on the beach towards the tunnel, you can go to the other side of the tunnel to Agate Beach, this trail is kid and pet friendly, as long as your dog is on a leash. The trail features a tunnel that crosses to the other side of the mountain into Agate Beach, a beautiful not so crowded beach.
