First option to take Wildwood was closed. Looped down to Leif Erickson and cut up Hardesty Trail to Wildwood. Great moderate trail.

Beautiful drizzly/overcast day hike. Trees provided some coverage from rain. Very muddy at certain points

A lovely Autumn hike, just over 5 miles. This is definitely a moderate hike & so a great way to exercise while not getting too worn out. We enjoyed the lovely leaves & crisp air. If you look closely you’ll spot an assortment of mushrooms, an occasional snail & even a woodpecker.

bebeautiful lushness along the whole loop. I took a slightly different route to explore some of the other types of trail. I ran along a wider trail/apparently built for regular cars though I didnt see any driving through and I also ran along the fire lane trails which are also wide enough for cars but are moe "wild". The parking was easy to find. Finally, although it was raining the whole time, there were so many trees that I barely got wet.

Nice loop- the trailhead parking will fill up fast. Most of the loop is on the wildwood trail, so you’re going to encounter a decent amount of trail runners.

Great weather. Nice trail. Hooks up to quite a few others. We went in at Springline Road and looped around through a couple of trails. The dog enjoyed it. Get there early for the best parking. And ***LEASH YOUR DOG*** if others are approaching. I must say, the worst part of this trail is people being rude and assuming your dog wants theirs to run up on it.

First to Review

Nice walk over St Johns bridge into Forest Park and Wildwood trail. Views of Hood and MSH on a clear day. Didn’t see a lot of people on the trail, which was surprising for a Sunday. High use trail with lots of canopy for shade. Not a lot of views, but a good workout close to Portland. I got lost...so many trails that connect, but I usually get lost in Forest Park. Easy to find your way out.
