North Umpqua Trail: Dread and Terror Segment is a 12 mile point-to-point trail located near Idleyld Park, Oregon that features a river and is rated as moderate. Directions from Roseburg: Western Trailhead) Travel east on Hwy. 138 and turn onto FS Road 34. Follow 34 for 2.2 miles and turn right on Forest Service Road 3401. Follow 3401 for .7 miles to the Hot Spring Trailhead on the left. This trailhead has parking for up to 10 vehicles and up to 3 horse trailers. Restrooms are available.Eastern Trailhead) Travel east on Highway 138 and turn onto Forest Service Road 2610 (Lemolo Lake Road). Follow 2610 for 5.5 miles across the dam which forms Lemolo Lake. Turn left onto FS Road 2610-600 (Birds Point Road). Follow 2610-600 about another half mile to the White Mule Trailhead on the left. Parking is available for 3 standard vehicles and very tight for horse trailers. No restroom facilities.

This is an amazing segment. I can't put into words the fun you'll have here and how much you'll be mentally tested. Still some logs fallen but they are being taken care of one by one. You won't regret this run.
