Did this in late December 2017. The road coming from the river had a big landslide section about 1 mile East from the trailhead on Newberry Rd. and was closed. We decided to just park at the closure site, and walk. It looked like people can still drive and park at the trail head coming from the West side of Newberry Rd. Beautiful trail that is well maintained, but I hope they fix the road soon.

No scenic views, overall a relatively boring forest walk

I enjoyed the views, even the fire roads were pretty cool. Thank goodness for this app keeping me on the right path!!

Those wishing for scenic views, avoid this trail. I got lost on the fire road part of this trail and had to back track to the Wildwood Trail.
