Beautiful tail. Overgrown at first. Lots of mud. A few downed trees. Rocky scramble to the viewpoint. Worth the length.

Hiking

Lots of roots and rocks the first mile, but after that it’s good. Very muddy in some spots, but you can go around it. Over all good hike

Very muddy and overgrown. The incline isn’t too hard, but navigating the mud, roots, and over grown brush (sometimes all 3 at the same time) took away from the beauty of the hike. Might be better to hike mid-summer so trail can dry out a bit. The view at the top is breath-taking and almost made the hike worth it. Until we realized we could have come from south trailhead which is better maintained and much easier.

Fairly busy on a Sunday late afternoon on June 21. The beginning and some middle parts are overgrown, so I was glad to have long pants and long sleeves. Parking spots were crowded with all the people checking out the ocean viewpoints.

Packed trail but worth it for the views. Not too difficult of a hike but still a decent workout. Go during the week if you want to avoid crowds.

This trail is closed, we thought it was open because the sign at the trailhead says no parking on the shoulder but we were stopped by rangers. Do not go or else you can risk getting over a $1200 fine. :( We were warned but thankfully not fined. The hike was okay other than that.

It was sunny when we began the hike, but when we reached the top it was super foggy, so needless to say- we didn’t see anything, but the hike was enjoyable.

Awesome view, fairly muddy but fine if you wear hiking boots. Parking lot was closed but about .3 of a mile up is a lookout with an open parking lot! Great hike, not crowded at all on Memorial Day Saturday!
