its a wonderful place and the hike is a good way to get into hiking. only reason why we don't give it a 5 is because the trail to the bottom of trail up to the water fall is close. but that's it

We hit this on the way back from the Cape Lookout hike. It is super short, more of a stroll than a hike. The trail is in great shape and people of all abilities can walk it safely. The falls at the end were actually way more impressive than I was expecting. The info says that it is the tallest waterfall in the Cascades and I'd believe it. The trail is closed a bit before the falls, it looks like logs are blocking the path, but you have a pretty full view of the whole falls.

Great view of the falls but trail is closed when you get close. Looks like downed trees is the cause.

Super easy walk/hike, slight incline. Beautiful view of the waterfall. The road to the park itself is full of potholes so beware, it was a bumpy ride in our massive truck.

Easy hike to a beautiful waterfall with amazing scenery the whole way.

So the trail to the base of the falls is a short and easy hike. However, you can continue on past the "closed" section of the trail if you wish... and climb up and up and the waterfall - about 60% of the way up. It's beautiful up there.

We visited in October of last year (2016). The road leading to the trail was awful, we were playing slalom with all the holes, but the trail itself was beautiful and super easy, our kids (12, 8, and 4) had no trouble at all.

Easy walk for all ages. Top of trail is closed, however you can still see the waterfall pretty well. It is also a pretty drive to get there.

Very easy short hike. Even though it is blocked from getting too close to the falls, you still get a great view.

Absolutely beautiful. Oregon coast trails are all A+ for landscape and views. Perfect for the entire family and a photographer's dream! Quick little hike, but I like to take my time and take in all the natural beautiful landscape. I'm from the Northwest where it's dry, rocky with Ponderosa Pine trees.

Would have been nice to get closer but trail is closed due to large trees across the trail. Looks like the bank is eroding and the trees are sliding down. Still get a couple of looks at the falls from afar.
