This little trail was a delightful find! Located right off the highway, this quick trail has it all...easy access, beautiful views, incline with gentle switchbacks, and a dreamy swimming hole. It was just what we needed on this hot July day.

Great moderate hike with consistent incline. The wildflowers make me think I was in a western movie the entire time. The view is spectacular once you get on top.

Jump in the swimming hole at the end to cool off. Quick and easy.

I hiked this after work on 6/12/18. The views of to gorge are beautiful at the viewpoint and leading up to it. There’s an interesting old cemetery near the trailhead and a waterfall shortly thereafter. Fun, short hike to watch a gorge sunset.

Nice hike with great views of the gorge. Small waterfall and the old Mosier cemetery add some interest. It was pretty crowded but mainly because there was a large group on the trail.

A mildly warm and breezy day and the breeze was welcoming. No bugs in my mid-day hike. Agree with other reports as a lighter side of moderate difficulty. On the upside travel first half the trail narrows in places with encroaching tall rye grass. That and the popularity the only reason for a 4 star rating. Some flowers still out especially at top where there are several old concrete slabs and a red rose telling of past residents. Rather than going out and back I chose the down hill northerly gravel road to highway 30 back to my rig. A very nice hike requiring no pass.

Quick hike and beautiful views the entire way. Sweet waterfall less than half a mile in. When you get to the plateau on top it's a top of the world feeling with panoramic Columbia river views!

Wildflowers galore this time of the year. Lots to see...an old 1800s cemetery, waterfall, birds, amazing view of the Columbia, and even a geocache! Well maintained trail.

Wonderful trail, gorgeous and varied scenery the whole way. Road noise during the first half of the ascent. Views from the top are breathtaking.

On the easy side of moderate. We found it very easy and relaxing. Lots of great surprises along the way - 1880s cemetery, water fall, fields of wild flowers and a gorgeous view. No tricky areas. No loose gravel. A few small staircases that help you scale quickly. Only 10-15 steps at most. Great trail!

Beautiful wild flowers all the way up and amazing view from the top. Absolutely worth it and not too heavily trafficked

Short, easy to moderate hike with amazing views and a waterfall bonus. Went 4/21 and flowers are in bloom! Plenty of hawks and birds. Narrow trail which could be difficult if busy on the switchbacks (little room for passing others). Limited coverage for summer, but definitely recommended in Spring. Flowers are amazing!

Loved this trail. There is a pioneer settlers cemetery at the begining, the creek and falls, the plateau and then some old building foundations farther down. I went yesterday and it was a gorgeous day in the gorge. there are no bathrooms that I saw here. There is a little bit of parking just before the white bridge. In my opinion this trail is worth the drive from the city.

Beautiful and doable hike. I am 60 and over weight and I was able to do the hike. It took my husband and I about 1.5 hours to hike up, hang out for a bit and come down. Interesting small cemetery at the beginning, beautiful waterfall then switch backs to the top. Worth the time for a quick day hike

Went on a partly sunny day. You pass by a pioneer cemetery at the beginning which is really cool and interesting. Then you come to a beautiful creek pool, and then you make your way up the hill with some rocky switchbacks (moderate difficulty). At the top you reach the plateau with beautiful views of the gorge. There were lots of wildflowers at this time of year (mid-April). Great springtime hike, but due to the lack of shade this trail would be pretty hot in the summer.

Rocky uphill. Definitely moderate on the first half.

The label of "Moderate" is simply because there is a section where you are climbing up the plateau with some switchbacks. Once you get to the top, the plateau is pretty flat. But overall, this hike is a short, enjoyable hike with a beautiful view of the Gorge at the top.

Be aware there is very little shade and it was miserable in the sun. I wish I had swimming stuff with me- I may have jumped in the water instead

If you're stopping through, this is a great, very short hike to take a break from a drive with. Wouldn't come just to see it, but worth checking out if you're passing by.

Cute little trail. The nearness to residential areas makes it feel less like a "hike" and more like a "walk" but it was enjoyable nonetheless. I startled many critters in the tall grasses, and many of them startled me too! Lots of wildflowers and a decent view at the top. The waterfall and old cemetery were super cool!

Great easy hike, but most flowers were dead at the top. If you bring your dog, be aware that there isn't a lot of shade and have a plan for possible heat exhaustion. Our dog is an avid hiker and got in pretty bad shape on this hike and needed to be wetted down with water on the way up, and down, so bring a lot of water for you and your pet.
