I really enjoyed the challenge and the views. I highly recommend this trail most of it is covered by trees which keep you cool. As always bring water and a smile for other hikers, bikers, etc.

I did this hike 2 weeks ago and it was great. This is one of the longer and higher hikes in the northern Corvallis region. Mostly gravel road to the top of McCulloch peak but still fun and then taking the other roads and trails back down was really fun. However, be warned that the trails in AllTrails are not always correct. I tried to get down via Funnel Cake route and you end up coming to a dead end. You have to go back way up and around to get in a trail or road. I believe logging might have covered up or destroyed this trail along with a few others so be aware.
