Gorgeous green scenery. Be prepared to walk up hill the first half but it isn’t overly hard. 2 chihuahuas made it just fine

Good trail for a quick hike. Can be very muddy and parking is limited.

Great hike! The earlier the better to avoid the crowds. I usually get here around 7 am and leave by 8:30 ish.

i wouldnt quite call this a hike. i liked that there were options to do small out and back trails but the main was half out and back and half loop. kind of steep but was very doable. not a bad walk for a quick 2 hour adventure.

The perfect Saturday morning hike! We walked this with our dog in late February - it's a well-marked and gorgeous trail. I'm sure it gets crowded when it's warmer out, but if you go in the off-season is perfect.

Beautiful views from Council Crest on a clear day. Lovely hike in the woods with some elevation.

Enjoyed the start of the route as it’s a bit less crowded than other routes to Council Crest from his starting point. Got a bit busier as we neared the top. A few areas are narrow but generally a roomy hike. Goes through neighborhoods of luxury homes so you’ll likely wave at a few homeowners along the way. Could see the fast impact of a little rain that came our way in the form of a much muddier descent. The dog park at Council Crest was busy! Great hike to tire out your pup.

A little muddy in some places, but it didn’t effect how great of a hike was

Great simple trail. Well paved and well marked.

Parts were a bit slippery in December 25th afternoon. Good little local city hike. Decent view up top.

Went on a cloudy and cold afternoon. Started out from Marquam Nature Park, it was virtually empty most of the way up to Council Crest. Best to have good trail shoes, as the trail is quite narrow and can be muddy this time of the year. A great workout, mostly quiet along the way and great views of the PNW peaks from up top at Council Crest, when the day is not too cloudy or foggy.

it's a bit wet and muddy but it's to be expected. parking is very limited but it's a nice place located in downtown to hike.

Lots of groups on the trail today, but still some moments of solitude. A bit muddy, but less than I'd expect at this time of year.

I really enjoyed this trail. I highly suggest starting early in the morning as the parking is limited and the trail is narrow. However, anytime really would be great. It’s more a preference. I did this hike in early November and nothing beats a crisp foggy fall morning. It was absolutely breathtaking. The terrain was a tad muddy but not a lot and it is a little uneven and slippery. So if you’re older or feel uneasy just be careful and watch your steps. I loved that there were slight inclines but lots of flat trail as well.

Great spot with a lot of trails to wander. Quite easy if you’re in shape, there are some nice little inclines.
