HikingFeeGreat!

Quiet. Not too crowded. Well-kept. Peaceful. I started around 9:30AM on a Sunday and found parking in the main lot easily enough. By the time I was done, people were waiting for my parking spot. So, it fills up. Trail wasn’t crowded at all. Saw maybe 10 hikers the entire time and 5 bikes. Chill walk. Nothing intense. Very little elevation gain or loss.

Kinda dusty but not too bad. There are many different trails all around to choose from or combine with many helpful signs so you always know where you are. There is even a fenced area for my dogs to run around off leash before our hike and a faucet for them to get some water. A small parking fee of $5 (cash or card) and nice bathrooms. There are many picnic tables with a nice view by the parking lot. There are some trails that allow horses and some that may not but there is a lot of horse manure along the trails that we were dodging.

Nice hike. Mixed in with some hiking trails and disc golf. Some narrow parts of the trail but nothing that was an issue.

Definitely muddy, but still a great hike for February. Not crazy busy for a Sunday. Trails are a little confusing and don’t match the names on the AllTrails app. There is no Linear trail, but the app worked great to redirect us. Great service up there.

Edited to add: this hike is a combo of several park routes, none of which are named "linear trail" Follow the map to stick to it , otherwise the trail system is well marked if you want to forge your own path. Some cars in the lot but only encountered 2 people on the trails (great for a Saturday). My dog loved running the trails with me and we didn't mind the mud. I'd suggest folks stay to the center of the trail where possible to avoid sinking into the mud even further. There were only a handful of spots where the trail itself was flooded/muddy enough to walk off trail edge. Can't see much from the view points in the rainy/foggy weather, but still a very enjoyable hike.

Looking forward to coming back when it dries out. Super muddy today - as expected and some of the loops are closed for construction. No one else on the trails which was nice and the dogs enjoyed that extra freedom.

Great loop as a trail run with our dog. A few small hills to make it challenging which was nice. Super well marked trail, really impressed with the signage. Very quiet hike only saw 2 other hikers and 5 people zip by on mountain bikes. We will definitely be back to explore more with our dog for trail running.

Followed the 3.5mile loop with a view to returning and extending the hike. It was excellent., very well maintained and sign posted. A large portion of this loop follows narrow bike trails, but as it was early morning, I hardly saw a soul. By the time I got back to the start point, there where quite a few bikers tuning up (12:30 pm).. everyone was very friendly, but if you want the trails to yourself, get there early! Will definitely return and scope out some of the other loops. Great morning walk!

Great little hikes, picnic areas. Get the trail map and you can link together shorter hikes to make longer ones. Horses and mountain biking popular in this park.

Trails are in Great shape you can tell that the caretakers really get into their jobs. Some very challenging trails, slopes, hills, and the area dedicated to Mountain Bikes is off the chart! If you have seen guys on the x games an always thought what it would be like. This area is for you.. It's not a place for children whom need supervision some very aggressive banking turns will challenge adults. Try this park but be careful and clean up! Let's keep this secret on the down low.

This is a fairly new park, added along the Banks-Vernonia linear trail on highway 47. The linear trail itself is a really nice walk, especially during the summer when you can soak up some nice Oregon sun shining through the mixed coniferous/deciduous forest.
