From Eugene or Springfield drive east on Hwy 126 for 38 min (26.5 mi if counted from Eugene Bus Station). When you see an industrial building in the distance (hydroelectric station), look for a gravel parking lot on the right. Be careful to park not blocking the technical road. The trail begins right from the parking lot as you cross the bridge. Steady, easy, plain, a bit monotonous hike with a parallel canal (river) aside.

A good safe plain hike following a river. Very recommendable if you live in Eugene/Springfield area and decided to have a stroll in the afternoon close to evening when it is late to head for a far adventure like Hoodoo Ski area, Sahalie Falls or others on Hwy 126. You can ride a Lane Transit District bus #91, not sure if it stops there on request: https://www.ltd.org/system-map/route_91/
I saw a couple of family couples with kids; in general the trail is not heavily trafficked.
