Laurel Hill Chute Trail is a 5.4 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Government Camp, Oregon that features a great forest setting and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is best used from April until November.
Directions from Rhododendron: Travel east on Highway 26 for five miles. There will be a small pullout on the south side of Hwy. 26 by a heritage marker sign.
At the beginning is steps and the trail cuts in and out on the old, abandoned highway which was pretty cool as my grandparents drove that road for their honeymoon.
