A well maintained relaxed walk, really three loops each about a mile so you can pick how long you want to go for

Not really a hike unless you go down into the canyon, you can access the river and see beautiful views. A bit strenuous back up from the canyon and the rest of it is a flat paved pathway.

Need to add a "no dogs" tag. This is a nature reserve, dogs are not allowed with reserves.

Pretty hike on the edge of town. follow the signs to get to the parking lot. Would be nice on clear day. I saw 7 deer by the trailhead. The canyon loop part is a little steep on the way down and back up the "stairs". It's not too long or challenging but some may want to skip this part.

I only gave this 3 stars because there isn't much to see other than on the Canyon Loop. However, if you want a simple hike (more of a walk, really), the gravel pathway provides that. We literally saw moms pushing their children in strollers on the gravel path, so it's obviously very easy. The area is very nicely developed, with a huge paved parking lot, restroom, and lots of signage. Taking the Canyon Loop route does add some work to your hike, with a short but steep incline as you finish the loop. All in all we logged 4 miles here.

This is a good base trail. Extending it all the way to/from Tumalo State Park would elevate the rating to 4 stars.
