This trail begins on Forest Service Road 161 & about mid-way you would need to do some four-bying across the forest to connect to FS road 140 to complete the “loop.” We decided to turn this trail into an “out & back” instead of a loop and only walked the 161 FS road because the connecting part of the trail was too overgrown & difficult to see. The best views of Mt. Hood & Mt. Adams were on FS road 140 by the quarry.
