this shit was rad. we did it today and decided just to do the up and down from the tombstone pass parking lot, but i’m definitely gonna go back to do the loop with cone peak, which looked liked it had an interesting meadow to poke around. wildflowers were decent but peak was probably two weeks ago, so beginning of july is probably the best time to do it, but the views at the viewing platform are tops for the cascades. we could see from st. helens all the way to diamond peak. saw maybe a dozen others on the trail today, and the parking area weirdly doesn’t seem to be serviced and I couldn’t find a self pay station. i tend to like stuff a little longer and more strenuous but this was great and i’ll be doing it again for sure
