Where did everyone park? I tried to go to horsetail falls and the entrance to the parking lot was closed.

Horsetail is nice, but you HAVE to climb to the upper falls (Ponytail). The switchbacks suck but totally worth it. You can walk behind the falls and there’s great views of the river from up there

Beautiful hike! The upper falls has a trail that goes into a cave behind the waterfall. Unfortunately the trail is currently closed beyond the upper falls due to fire damage. So the hike is really only about a mile, but well worth it!

Quick and easy with a pretty waterfall you can walk behind with a big pool of water at the end. Super crowded but still negotiable. Upper part of trail still closed

Easy hike with our kiddo (7). Short and sweet with a fun payoff of walking behind the waterfall and climbing down to the pool.

Only went to first falls. And it was lovely. I remember it being fairly busy on the trail with tourist. But it was a fairly easy hike.

Absolutely beautiful! All elevation gain is in the first 1/4 mile...pretty steep! And good for kids, just hang on because there are some drop off areas. So worth the little hike to get there!!

Amazing walk behind the Ponytail waterfall. Could definitely have a dip at the bottom or top. The elevation is in the first 0.2mi so fairly steep but then a long stretch even to the second falls. Great, short hike.

The waterfall and pool at the (current) end of the trail are stunning and calm, but the amount of crowds here makes it a little bit more difficult to enjoy. It's also a shame that so much of this trail has been destroyed, I felt like it ended right as I was getting going and left feeling a little underwhelmed.

Very beautiful and very crowded. Trail is narrow and slippery at times, beware with young children. Hiked May 27,2019
