Horse Lake via Horse Lake and Pacific Crest Trails is a 9 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Bend, Oregon that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, trail running, and backpacking. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
September 10, 2020Trail is full of huge downed trees and branches. Otherwise it was well tracked and traveled. Saw only one person today. Weather was perfect and clear, no smoke.
August 7, 2020we did a round trip to horse lake and except for the fact that it never stopped drizzling it was a nice walk. hard to say much about horse lake because the weather was bad. we hiked around the lake but the trail was very sketchy and tough to follow. not so buggy on the walk up but might have been the weather as well. we saw maybe ten people in three plus hours of walking.
