A quick loop near the parking area, this one is a nice place to walk dogs on a hot summer day. This short loop around the Oak Creek Research Station area gives you a good chance to stretch your legs and a few places for a hot dog to take a dip and escape the summer heat. Make sure you check out the native plant life, this creek bottom is really fertile land.

Easy mostly flat well maintained and marked trail. Five or six types of wildflowers in bloom. Trail is shared with bicyclists, some of whom do not announce their arrival so be alert.
