Beautiful and not too hard of a hike. The lake is beautiful and quite. The fish literally kept jumping out of the water the whole time we were there. Just bring lots of bug spray. The mosquitos are the size of baby hummingbirds (not really, but they're huge!) and they bite everything, including on your part line in your hair.

I really enjoyed this hike. The views of the peaks from Hoffer Lakes were amazing! We added on the Black Lake hike onto this one, seeing a total of 5 lakes. Stopped off as we were doing the Elkhorn drive.

The stream-side path up from Anthony Lake is nicer than the lakes themselves. The southern lake has excellent views, so it's worth an extra ten minutes to follow the spur (#1641A) to the southeast.

The Hoffer Lake Trail is open with a few snow patches along the trail as of June 29th, and no mosquitoes. A fun, easy and beautiful hike that follows a small stream containing little Eastern Brook Trout.

Great hike on a well worn path along a beautiful creek that takes you to the lakes and a waterfall. The kids liked climbing the granite builders, seeing the Brook Trout in the creek, crossing over the bridges, and the waterfall even though there wasn't much water flowing when we were there. Definitely recommend bringing bug spray for at the lakes.

Nice family hike from Anthony Lake up to Hoffer Lakes. Trail runs alongside a creek, crosses a couple of simple bridges, and has a small waterfall up near the lakes, all of which were fun for the kids and the dog.

Super easy hike from Anthony Lake, but worthwhile! Lots of granite boulders to climb on at the top. Sometimes the full loop is impassable unless you don’t mind getting your feet very wet.

Very pretty! Dogs loved it. Bring bug spray :) also parking is very limited, not exactly big truck friendly so be prepared to get creative.

Nice Sunday hike, did it 1st weekend in November with a little snow on the ground. Forest trail along a creek leads to nice lakes and mountains. Enjoyed it very much
