HikingWashed out

Never did this trail before so I accidentally stayed on the paved old highway and continued through the tunnel to Cascade Locks/Bridge of the gods. Cross the street and go through the park and there is a sign for PCT. Follow this part of the PCT up and under the underpass. Do not cross the underpass, instead skirt it and you will find a sign and small path for Gorge 400 and this will put you back on the trail. This part of the trail is spooky and burnt due to the fires but still beautiful. The path is washed out twice and might not be great for kids. US Forest Service site says this trail is open even though there are many signs that say all unpaved trails are closed.

Hiking

Easy hike for someone passing through the gorge. Very accessible, a quick 30 minute climb to get your heart pumping after sitting in the car for x hours. It has about 12 switchbacks that bring you up around the side of the mountain and drop you in on top of the falls. Great view and pretty fun.

This is an easy hike great for adults and kids. Plenty of steps and resting points on the way to the bridge make it idea for an easy hike with beautiful views. Parking is almost always extremely busy and make take some time. The shop at the falls offers local items and some history of the falls. There is a restaurant on site, but I have not visited it.

Breathtaking views, but really crowded during the summer. If you're into LOTR you'll love this place.

Hiking

If you decide to climb to the top of Multnomah Falls you can escape the weekend crowds a bit, but the bridge is a mess and there'll be no communing with nature midday. The hike is challenging with 11 long switchbacks. Worth it if you want a workout.

Beautiful waterfall. Easy walk to get to them (.2 mile uphill). We went on a Wednesday and it was packed so I would recommend not going there on the weekend.
