Gumjuwac and Badger Creek Loop Trail is a 11.4 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Mt Hood, Oregon that features beautiful wild flowers and is only recommended for very experienced adventurers. The trail is primarily used for hiking, birding, and mountain biking and is best used from May until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Directions from Hood River: Travel east on Highway 84 to Highway 35. Follow 35 south to Robin hood Campground. Park in the wide spot on the west side of the highway, or under the trees on the east side. Cross the bridge on the east side of the highway to start the trail.

This hike was incredible. I didn’t see a single other person. The views are great, the terrain is gorgeous, and the lake is beautiful. The solitude definitely helps.

Amazing hike! I just wish there were more spots overlooking the other mountainous areas.

To continue on to Lookout Mountain at the Gumjuac/Divide junction, take the trail farthest to the left (not the road). It's the only trail at the junction that does NOT have a sign. Spectacular 360 view on top of Lookout Mtn.

I was out for almost 5 hours and only saw four other people and that wasn't until the last 30 minutes. Loved it!!! Nice hike, relatively well marked and easy to navigate.

Breathtaking views at the top of the ridge. Mostly in trees so good shade for summer hikes.
