Nice quiet trail but the climb back up was a bit tiring, after 6 miles down hill ...

cruising on up fr 11, I was surprised when it turned into a one lane road with consistent turn outs. very twisty, kinda fun. after turning onto 1152 keep your eyes out for the trail head on the left, I saw it just as I was passing.
the trail is nice, doesn't appear like there's a lot of traffic. there were no downed logs, and it was soft terrain. after the first half mile, it's pretty much in the shade. I only went to the junction for swamp peak trail and turned around.
this trail doesn't actually go to Gordan Peak, but around it? don't expect views after the very first intersection.
since I was still hunting for a view I returned to the first intersection and carried on towards the scar mtn trailhead. it's about a mile away, but there's a great spot to take a break at the end of this trail...sweet views of Jefferson with Hood in the distance
