Everyone knows if you let the sadness overtake you, you’ll sink into the swamp and lose your horse named Artax. I chose the worst day to complete this hike for the second time. Most mud I've ever seen on any trail. Firelane 7A down to Leif Erickson is absurdly steep. Add deep, slick mud to that and you have a 0.00001 mph hike. Kinda fun to try to keep on my feet, which I somehow managed to do. Crazy dirty pant legs though after that mess.
