Flanked by ferns, alder trees and vine maple, Drift Creek Trail winds through the rain-drenched Siuslaw National Forest. The highlight of the trail is a 240-foot long cable suspension bridge. Anchored by cables and ties that are cemented into opposing bluffs, the bridge holds over a hundred fifty thousand pounds. While the bridge does offer a bit of a bounce, the thirty-inch wide tread is perfectly safe and the bird’s-eye view will leave you spellbound. As does Drift Creek Falls, a 65-foot freefall, whopper of a waterfall that’s located immediately below you. $5 fee to park.

The trail winds through the forest. With an amazing view of the waterfall from the suspension bridge and then the trail ends with a nice view from the other side. There are some rock that will take you close to the waterfall as well.

Great trail, winds through a beautiful part of the coastal forest. Trail is well marked and even though it was muddy it was a great time.

This trail has a lot to it in its short mileage: The trail winds down from the trailhead through classic, coastal conifer forest. The largest challenge, for some, is the suspension footbridge spanning the canyon in which the Fall dumps into. Partner and I had a lot of fun with photos and movement on that wiggly bridge! The bridge does offer an atypical, elevated perspective of the Fall. Then the trail switchbacked down into the canyon to put hikers at the riverside. Hiked this one in December and it was wet but I have no regrets. That's Oregon for ya!

Very easy trail that is heavily trafficked. Use caution in the road in as it’s very narrow with tight corners. Saw younger children using the trail with ease. beautiful view!!!

Nice easy terrain. Wonderful feel to it.

Fun short hike with our 4 year old! We enjoyed hiking through the rainforest. Trailhead parking filled up by the time we left around noon.

Gorgeous young forest full of ferns and delicate understory plants. A high trail that slopes gently and gives light-filled forest views from midday on. Trail is wide, well maintained, and has few roots. Suspension bridge is beautiful and a bit of a thrill to cross. Go all the way to the bottom for best falls view, and view of bridge high above. Worth it.
