Nice walk through nature. Many runners but not too crowded late afternoon. Started at dogwood trail then wild cherry...My 5 year old completed it just fine but did need a bit of motivation in the incline at wild cherry.

Couldn’t find the trail to get back to Dogwood. Followed it down to the Leif Erickson drive route and then doubled back to get to the Wild Cherry trail which said it would loop back to the 53rd street trailhead I parked at. Never did so ended up taking Birch Trail and walking the last bit on the paved 53rd street road which thankfully wasn’t busy. Possible I could have missed the signs. Next time I will do it backwards and see it that helps! On the plus side, very beautiful and cool in the shade. My two dogs are beat from all the hills and my calves are burning. Great workout!

Great trail through forest park! It is slick in some muddy spots, so I recommend wearing shoes with a good tread. I went in the evening, around 6pm and it was somewhat busy, not too bad, a lot of runners. I may have missed where the dogwood loop picks back up, so I started on the dogwood trail and then once I descended down and got to the wider/flatter part of the trail, I picked up and ascended the wild cherry trail, which all worked out very well. Just not sure where I lost the dogwood trail, since I was following the well laid out signs. Anyway, if you encounter the same issue, the wild cherry trail brings you right back up.

Great quick hike! Definitely broke a sweat but it wasn’t hard. Our two little chihuahuas were tired but it wasn’t too much for them.

Very pretty, nice hike. The kids and puppy enjoyed as well. Parking was pretty easy but I imagine it’ll be more crowded as the weather warms up. We saw a few trilliums starting to bloom!

Nothing too special here, but we had a nice time. Came during late December and it was a little muddy, not dangerous at all. Also ran into a bunch of people.

Not a bad hike! In reference to other people’s comments about it being steep, I found going counterclockwise (start right with the Maple and circle round ending with dogwood) it’s not that bad. Beautiful Fall colors and super peaceful in the morning.

Beautiful path with amazing trees and a good terrain. Quiet and serene hike just minutes from Portland. Only wish I had time to do more of the trail!

gets a little hard on the incline. I'd call this on the more aggressive side of "easy" could actually be rated as moderate. no waterfalls or water holes but a nice paved hike

This was a beautiful and quiet walk on July 4th. It was a little challenging for my parents, but overall enjoyed by all.

A well maintained, well marked trail. It was enough to get the blood pumping, but not difficult. A lovely walk in the forest!

Light trail not strenuous. When you get to the bottom of wild cherry trail you take a left (walk past the honey buckets) and keep going till you see the sign on left for dogwood trail. A good amount of people running on the road just off the trail.

A nice heart thumper for my first home of the year. Very grateful for the sudden awesome weather after such a late and unusual cold spell. Though I got a very late start I'm glad I finally motivated to get out the door. There were tons of people on the trail and all along the road at every parking shoulder. The trail was not significantly muddy. There were a few tiny streams of water crossing the trail, but not enough to puddle up.
