Beautiful hike with great views of Diamond Peak and Mt. Yoran. Notch Lake and Divide Lake are gorgeous and well worth it, Divide was practically sparkling in the sunlight. Unfortunately didn’t have time for the short scramble up to the Cascade Divide but will do that next time! Not much traffic, only saw two other people. Went in late July which meant mosquitoes were pretty bad in the trees. The drive in was kind of sketchy, definitely wouldn’t take a vehicle low to the ground up there.

Early snow! A dusting at the trailhead gradually built up to about two feet by the time I got to Divide lake. Was hoping for a scramble up Mt Yoran but no dice. Great opportunity to see animal tracks you might not see up in the high country in the winter though. Bobcat, coyote, deer etc.Loaded up on the bumper crop of huge huckleberries around Notch lake on the way in and out Yum

Hiked to Divide Lake yesterday and it was a great hike, plus autumn is in the air! You can also camp at Divide Lake. The views were perfect!

Excellent views of Mt. Yoran and Diamond Peak. There are several small lakes within a short scramble.
