A wonderful hike just outside of the town of Corvallis with views over the City below. This is also a great trail for beginners to mountain biking as the trails are open year round, well maintained, and not technical. This is a great hike or bike ride just outside of town. You'll have great views from the top over Corvallis and towards Mary's Peak to the west.

Starting and ending from Chip Ross park was hellish this time of year. The so called road leading to the actual trail is a slushy, muddy nightmare that has been over hammered by hikers and mountain bikers. Definitely needs to be graded and gravelled.

Other than that this was a great hike! Pretty well marked at the various intersections, not abominable for ascent or descent due to the switchbacks. Quite a lovely view from Dimple Hill even with all the fog and sleet. Kind of an icy winter wonderland. Trails are well managed and are gravel bedded in a plastic honeycomb matrix to prevent erosion. Dog friendly hike in a wonderful part of the state.
