Green Canyon is relentlessly steep for the first 3 or so but then Hunchback Ridge flattens until a short, steep climb at the end. Great hike.

The first 3.3 miles are hell definitely worth it though

Trail conditions great, saw 6-10 folks on the trail in mid June, views of Mt Hood, St. Helens, Rainier, and Adams before reaching the absolute top with the lookout tower were better than the top due to tree coverage, steep climb but well worth it. Also great flower coverage if you're into the rhododendrons.
