Super easy walk on a flat, paved trail along the Deschutes River. Can also be used for biking or running. Dog friendly. Popular area - expect to see other people. Decent views and amenities (kids park, picnic tables, etc). Also, the guy below me is correct, but slightly confused; The Deschutes River Trail does continue upriver from Bend Farewell Park, but this specific portion of the trail is simply the River Loop and does not follow that path. If you want to do the section he is referring to consider looking up Deschutes River Trail: Old Mill Reach, among others.

These people seem to be lost. This trail heads upriver from Farewell bend park and is not paved. I wont say more because I want them to stay on the paved walkway at the Old Mill .

Great casual hike for young kids. Took my 10 year old and 7 year old last week. They had fun exploring the river and asked lots of questions.

This is a nice place for a walk in town, especially in the non-summer months.

Nice easy walk around the river. can be pretty crowded in the summer. There's 2 cool spots that go under the bridge that have nice artwork on them. There is a lot of pokestops here if you enjoy playing pokemon go.

Flat, easy, paved trail along the river’s edge. Walk, jog, bike, bring your dog. A really great area in town.

Very flat. I sometimes wonder how they categorize things - yes this is Easy, but they said the same of Pilot Butte which is 100% uphill for a mile? /end tangent. Anyway, love the views on this path of people doing things on the water, of dogs playing in their doggy park, of looming cliff sides and cozy houses. Great trail to get a feel for how the Deschutes River integrates into the city of Bend.
