What great place to hike. Kind of reminds me of Mount Pisgah, but with shade. Loved the view of the valley at the parking lot and first half mile of the hike. I could see all the way to Spencer's Butte in Eugene before the clouds rolled in. The trail was in great condition, especially considering you have to share it with mountain bikes, trail runners, and horses. Only came across a few muddy spots. As I said before, this hike reminds me of Pisgah in Eugene. Lots of trails that interlock and you can design your own hikes, or follow one from here in All Trails. If I had on suggestion it would be to number all the trails. There were signs leading you up to Dimple Hill, but no signage on the smaller trails. Still an awesome place. Corvallis, you have a jewel in your backyard, thanks for sharing it with me. I'll definitely be back.

HikingGreat!Muddy

I surprised my teens with a hike today. We took our 4m puppy. All did rather well despite complaints, lol. It showered a little and was quite muddy in spots, as to be expected. I had a great time and pup pup did really well! She met her 1st horse that was like her twin, both white with brown spots and wearing a pink sweater. . The colors and views were just what was needed! I'm so glad we came. Most people wore masks and not all dogs were leashed, but well mannered. Thanks fellow nature enthusiasts for a great 1st experience to Dimple Hill!

Lots of mountain bikers, otherwise a very fun and well maintained trail with lots of ups and downs. Great view from the top!

this went really fast even though a slower than usual pace for me. It is a very easy trail, beautifully laid out. Some birds and a banana slug ) Not many people there at all - on a Friday.

Very steep, narrow in places, busy with bikes in places. Please share the path! Do not attempt by yourself in hot weather!!!! Not for kids. Some poisonous plants.

Very steep and up hill 99% of the way up. Very little time spent on gravel roads. Bring water and please pick up your dogs poop! At the very least kick it off the trail.

Beautiful meandering semi out-and-back through chip ross and then up to dimple hill. Downside is that it's very up and down, so you spend the way back really getting revenge on yourself. There are better views elsewhere but nice variety. Not crowded but not isolated, except for the stretch after turning right off of patterson rd 600, which is an overgrown trail almost never used

This was a great trail!! Beautiful scenery and kind of private. Did 5.42 miles of it and then turned around. Was beginning to get sore from the steady incline. They’ve just opened it up and had signs asking people to wear masks, and of course you had selfish folks not abiding by the rules. I don’t understand it but best to go prepared. You don’t have to have the mask on the entire time, when you’re not around people, only when you’re passing them, as it’s just COURTEOUS. No one wants Covid. So please be responsible when hiking. The weather was sunny and it rained a bit but it was pretty cool most of the time. Lots of trees to block the rain. The trail had lots of gravel. Would definitely go again!

This at 8+ miles was long enough to be a special occasion weekend hike. Lots of elevation gain. A bit too many gravel fire roads for my taste. Tons of bugs at the top at dusk, enough that I couldn’t rest at the bench. At times it’s pretty far from civilization so plan ahead. Now, where’s the darn dimple??
