Beautiful area with good elevation gain. Once off of the main trail onto Copper Creek Trail proper, I only met about 5 people (went in July on a weekend). There are two required stream crossings so make a decision to go through barefoot or run wet. Last mile or so is tougher mainly due to 7000+ foot elevation. Still had some snow, not much wildlife. The only confusing part was the mileage; I went 6.6 miles up but wasn't at the crossing so perhaps the CCT was described as 13.2 miles NOT counting the 3 mile first section. Mosquitos were rare as long as you keep moving. For barefoot runners, I did over 2 miles without problem.

update April 15, 2017. Road to trailhead is impassable. Trees down and even my 4x4 couldn't get closer than 6 miles from entrance. plan accordingly.
