Old growth oak and pine with a perfect view of Corvallis. This hike can be done in either direction. From the parking lot take the main trail which heads north (church on right) and climb to the top of Ivy Hill. At the top you'll see a great view of Corvallis. Follow the main trail by 3 bench. There are several branch trails stay, just follow main. As you drop down into trees the trail becomes a single track, as it meets the wide path again at a junction of trails head west and stay right on "Dan's Trail" at the sign. Follow Dan's trail till it comes to a gravel road, go left and follow the gravel road back around to the Dan's trail sign, then right on the main wide trail as it heads south. Stay on this wide trail as it winds down and up several times then down to the parking lot. Parts of this trail will be muddy in winter.

Well maintained trail. Not hard, and the complete trail as given on the map should only take an hour. Tennis shoes should be adequate, unless it's been raining. 90% of the trail is shady and covered by trees. Dog/Horse friendly.

Good. Had some steep inclines (lower horse trail). People were running the paths (crazy), I will feel the burn tomorrow. Beautiful and easy to follow trails.

One negative were no porta-potties at the parking site or anywhere on the paths. We went above the Chip Ross path (recommend).

The view from the top is worth it! Beautiful in winter, spring, and early summer- can be a little dry by late summer/fall.

Beautiful hike with a nice view at the top. There is benches along the way and picnic tables, so bring a lunch or a snack. Don't wear your nicest sneakers cause its muddy but it's fun!

I really enjoyed the hike. Lots of birds on the southern side of the hill and great vistas from the top. I would rate the hike as a great relaxing hike.
