Charlton Lake Trail is a 17.9 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near La Pine, Oregon that features a lake and is rated as difficult. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from July until October. Dogs and horses are also able to use this trail.

We hiked the 6 mile section from The Twins trailhead north east to Charlton Lake. Quite a bit of elevation gain and loss until you end up at the lake, but there are some beautiful campsites right on the lake. The mosquitoes were almost no issue but the bees were quite active.
