Very interesting formation in the rock. If you catch it before high tide you can watch the water splash higher and higher as it comes in. Be careful though the big splashes can come out of nowhere and might get you if you're too close. Keep the kids back around high tide. Razor sharp shells along the inside so falling in would be brutal. Trail is easy and walking on the rocks to get close isnt too bad either.

Thor’s well was so cool. We were here one hour before high tide and it was so impressive. We also saw a massive starfish in a nearby tide pool.

Absolutely worth the short walk down! There’s sharp lava rock on the way, so be mindful of that. But the views were incredible!

This was a beautiful hike. Go down and climb through the rocks to get a closer look, if you feel comfortable. It’s worth it! Just be careful how close you get. Check the tide schedule. Wear good shoes, the rocks are sharp and slippery. We made it though with our kids and dog

If you want to make the most of your time here be sure to look up when high tide will be there and go around then.

Great little trail to see Thor’s Well. Try go an hour before high tide to see the best views. Look up the tide charts for that day. Be very careful as to how close you get because those waves can get pretty big and easily knock you off your feet.

Amazing. Make sure you wear shoes that are sturdy enough to walk on the sharp basalt rocks! Rain jacket and polarized sunglasses came in handy.

One of the most amazing places ever. The hike is relatively easy and give so much bang for your buck. Starting with Devil’s Churn to Cools Chasm, Thor’s Well, and the Spouting Horn. It’s true what they say about Oregon, it’s magic!

Rocks are slippery, watch for the high tides and be careful when going out to photograph Thor's Well. Otherwise, very pretty and it was astounding, watching the waves crash into the tide pools below.

One of my favourite stops along the Oregon coast; go at HIGH TIDE for the best show including Devil's Churn which is close and well worth the $5 day use fee.
