Somewhere there's a trail that goes from the Cape Meares neighborhood and links up with the loop trail. It's necessary to take this route when the tide is too high to access from the beach. It appears that the link has been overgrown due to little use. We had fun trying to find it though.

this trail is wonderful. Very beautiful lots of shrubbery and of course trees! Went on this trail with a group of 5 under 35 and an 8 month old in a pack and it was awesome. Getting down to the beach is a little tricky because it drops off but we got down slowly and carefully without ropes but ropes would be recommend. The trail scenery changes as you get closer to the beach and its just....beautiful.

We went here back in November. It was a stunning sunny day. The hike is fun and easy and has great views onto the ocean.

The road to get to this hike is closed, just want to save everyone the time. Not sure when it will be re-opened.

A bald eagle flew into my frame while I was taking pictures from the cliff side. What could be better?

it's is NOT a loop. it is down-n-up. it is narrow and frequently steep. it is 100% downhill so it's 100% uphill. there are only 2 or 3 places you can see the water or have any view at all beyond the greenery immediately around you. it was slick enough in places that i traversed sections on my butt. best of all, it was closed before you got to the beach.

My wife and I have done this hike a few times. It's very easy and relaxing. There are outstanding views too. The lighthouse is pretty cool too.

Short walk down to Cape Meares lighthouse, some amazing views of the ocean and coastline. Also a really cool tree called the "Octopus Tree" is located nearby. Fun and easy trail

Short trek down to the lighthouse with an amazing view; and if you're lucky an informative inside tour.
