Crowded but beautiful beach. You have to stop for a few photos at the least.

It's a nice beach but over the years it has gotten pretty crowded, but it is expected for a beach as nice as this one :) for a less crowded beach you would have to walk or bike southwards!

Crowded. Typical beach walk. The farther south you walk, the more the crowd thins out. Good picnic spot.

Timing is important here, just make sure you go real early, or at sunset. :D

Crowded but you can see Puffins at Haystack Rock

Very popular because of Haystack Rock: obviously very busy. There are a lot better hikes in the area. Snap a pic with Haystack Rock and get out ;)

We drove up the California and Oregon Coast. We stopped at this beach because theGoonies were filmed here. The beach was crowed and ugly to be honest. I’d skip it if you are trying to see many things.

After staying in Hillsboro the night before, and driving through Nehalem to Cannon Beach, we finally found a place to park to go out and walk the wide flat beach. Haystack Rock is huge, is right in the middle of the town of Cannon Beach and at 235ft claims to be the third largest coastal monolith in the world. Recommend you stay at one of the local inns here to really be able to see the coast at all hours, sunrise to sunset - absolutely beautiful!

Cool beach with not too much nor too little people there. I like how it's not too crowded, but not empty like some of the other coastal beaches in Oregon I've been to. Saw people playing volleyball and hanging around campfires. Haystack Rock was awesome to look at next to the sunset.
