Cannon Beach is a 2.8 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Tolovana Park, Oregon that offers scenic views and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.
After staying in Hillsboro the night before, and driving through Nehalem to Cannon Beach, we finally found a place to park to go out and walk the wide flat beach. Haystack Rock is huge, is right in the middle of the town of Cannon Beach and at 235ft claims to be the third largest coastal monolith in the world. Recommend you stay at one of the local inns here to really be able to see the coast at all hours, sunrise to sunset - absolutely beautiful!
Cool beach with not too much nor too little people there. I like how it's not too crowded, but not empty like some of the other coastal beaches in Oregon I've been to. Saw people playing volleyball and hanging around campfires. Haystack Rock was awesome to look at next to the sunset.
Pretty easy and absolutely beautiful at sunset. It's a very popular area.
Nice area. Near the coast. Heavy foot traffic though.
